Hosted by Makeez Hilaman "The Talks of Life" is a two hour live talk show on a selected topic every Thrusday from 4 to 6 pm local Kandahar time.

Topics are selected from the three main pillars of Afghan National Strategy: security, governance and development. Within these 3 categories, we identify a topic which is time sensitive and most relevant to our audience in Kandahar and ask our listeners’ view on it.

Listeners’ can call, SMS, or email their questions on the topic during the show.  The show reflects listeners’ views and Rana FM aims for a neutral position on the topic.   Listeners’ views and complaints are then put forward to the responsible authority for clarification and required action.
